Gentlemen,
We need your help - the long-awaited Llenroc Kitchen Renovation is finally taking shape!
Thanks to a great rush and a growing number of undergraduate brothers, The Delta Phi Association and the undergraduate brotherhood should be able to contribute a third of the $75,000 estimated project cost. The Association needs to raise an additional $50,000 to complete the project, and we are calling out to the entire brotherhood for financial assistance. Donations of any size are welcome and greatly appreciated!
Over the last several years, The Llenroc Foundation and the Delta Phi Association have been working closely together to coordinate many incredible improvements to Llenroc—the first floor interior, the third-floor bedrooms and bathroom, the landscaping, among other projects. The house is truly starting to regain its original grandeur once again.
However, the kitchen remains inadequate at best. The current facility doesn’t even meet current health standards, let alone the daily demands of fraternity living. Since the project is not technically historic in nature, Llenroc Foundation funds are not available. The Association is launching a brotherhood-wide fundraising drive to cover the funding gap. The Board of Trustees would like to invite brothers of all years and classes to contribute to the cause—every little bit helps!
Project Overview
**This will be a commercial-class kitchen, capable of supporting occasional catering operations as well as daily meals**
Not only will the facility improve brotherhood events like Homecoming and Reunions, but will also provide the option of hosting private third-party events like University functions and private celebrations to generate additional revenue during summer months.
Objectives:
Bring the kitchen up to current health codes; Replace failing or inadequate equipment; Streamline kitchen organization for more efficient serving, cleaning, cooking and laundering; Install locked storage space for better inventory management; Improve lighting and add chef’s workspace.
Project highlights will include:
- A complete renovation of the dish room
- Commercial dishwasher installation
- Sub-floor repair or replacement
- Commercial tile floor installation
- Countertop replacements
- Cabinet and storage additions and improvements
|
- Streamlined floor plan
- Major appliance replacements

Call to Action
The Trustees would like to invite brothers of all years and classes to contribute to the cause—every little bit helps!
In order to begin construction in June 2007, we need to begin raising funds immediately. Please consider your donation as an investment in the future of the house, with the potential to yield better rush and live-in numbers from improved meals and facilities, cost savings from improved kitchen operations, and additional revenue potential from onsite event catering during the summer months.
